Cup Submerger

This is essentially a porous cap for a typical sized cup designed to forcibly submerge objects in that cup. My use case is cleaning retainers with denture cleaning tablets; normally the retainers float to the top so part of them is exposed to the air instead of being acted on by the fluid. This improves that by ensuring they are submerged.

Key Dimensions

  • The minimum cup diameter for the porous section – which reaches 33.421 mm down – is 72.142 mm
  • The top of the cup must be less than 109.30 mm in diameter

Printing Advice

I printed this with a water-resistant variant (notably 4 perimeters are used) of the 0.20 mm layer height Quality preset. Most of the details are in the x-y area so the higher layer height worked well. I don't think it's actually very important to make it water-resistant as we're not trying to retain water anywhere, but this may improve its lifetime subtly.
