As instructed in the official prusa guide for cold pull:
https://help.prusa3d.com/article/cold-pull-mk3s-mk2-5s_2075
This GCODE will simplify the process of going manually through every single menu to make this procedure. The only thing you need to do is:
-Disable is the filament autoload
-Open the Extruder Idler door
After that, if you want you can use the file called “ColdPull_Head position.gcode” to make a fast homing and position the head in the center while the nozzle heats up.
Or if you already did this and are making a second cold pull you can just the heating and cooling procedure: “ColdPull_No movement.gcode”
I prepared these files after having to manually set up all these settings to make the fastest cold pull, so what the gcode does is this:
- set extruder temp to 270C and fan speed to 0
- home without mesh bed level and place head in center (if “head position” gcode)
- disable step motors
- wait till it reaches 270c (at this point you should manually push filament through)
- set extruder temp to 0C and fan speed to max (so it cools faster)
- wait till extruder is 30C (room temperature) and beeps (so you can prepare yourself and then press the knob)
- set extruder temp to 85C and fan speed to 0 (after pressing the knob)
- wait for it to reach the temp and beeps again when you should pull
There is no real category for this gcode, and even when uploading it as gcode to printables it didnt allow due to some M400 code or something. However I feel this is very useful and wanted to share with the community so the people could use it.
