Wheelie Bin Vent (updated)

The wheelie bin is great for recycling garden waste, unfortunately in the summer the contents sweat and ferment, I found a simple solution was to prop the lid open a little to let air circulate.

This worked fine except every time I lifted the lid the little wooden block would fall off.

So my solution was to design this block with a rebate to keep it in place and a little fettling to get the lid to fit.

Update: on really hot days the lid softened and dropped over the front so I have improved it with Revision one (R1).
