Dentists are among the most vulnerable group of the population due to disease infections. The main reason for this is the exposure to infectious aerosol, which arises when drilling teeth. The main purpose of the COVID suction adapter, which has been created in cooperation with dentists, is to create an air stream that prevents the aerosol from spreading outward from the patient's mouth. The suction adapter does not work as a vacuum cleaner, but rather as an air barrier generator.

Print instructions

The suction adapter can be printed on a FDM printer, preferably made of PET-G. However, this material cannot withstand autoclave sterilization, so it is necessary to use a disinfectant solution. Printing on a SLA printer from biocompatible and autoclavable resin, such as FormLabs or NextDent, is ideal.
