This is an AV bay sled I designed for my 29mm “Blackhawk” rocket.
It uses an Anti Duo altimeter from Bear Altimeters, with a simple home made screw switch to arm.
It is made to fit precisely in a 5 inch 29mm Fibreglass coupler tube.
Holes are drilled in the coupler tube for rivets to secure to the upper airframe and a vent hole/switch hole.
A piece of 1000lb kevlar cord runs along the base, locked in place with two m3 nuts under compression.
A 200mAh 1s Turnigy battery (from Hobby King) is securely mounted inside the body.
I printed it in CF Nylon, at 0.2mm layers, upright with no supports, but with a large brim to keep it secure on a garolite bed.
It has been successfully tested to Mach 1 and over 5000ft on an I motor.
