when you have it, see lenses 3mf file - locate “TEXT” object and replace inside “Groom.stl” or any other STL, right click and choose your STL file with text
you can position the text, rotate it, as you like
in the Z axis: scale it up, so it has count of layers (with different color above lens itself) of your choice (i.e. 3 layers)
if some letter is unluckily in the middle, you can split text STL into separate objects - letters - and position each manually
don't forget on color change, if it disappeared
note: inside is used STL with negative object to the lenses, so overlapping texts are not printed
Print instructions:
glasses body + temples:
recommending PETG for flexibility (you know how many glasses you broke right?)
flexibility is important to be able to insert lenses
increased infill - like 40% and more
3 perimeters
temples:
test the length first to choose the right that fits your head (I think most people will go with M-L (female) and XL (male)) - for me are great XL temples
use mirror in slicer to print the other one to the pair
Note: if you have stringify problem, it may look ugly after printed, but after strings removal it should be OK (also there may be ugly artifacts, because of long travels from one side to the other (temple holders), but those tiny parts should be easily removed as well after printing)
lenses:
PLA can be used
see 3mf file
0 top and bottom layers
choose your infill pattern and infill percentage for different look
generate different text and replace it in 3mf, scale it, rotate it etc. it can overlap, negative object will hide what is overlapping
Assembly:
use short 1.75 filament piece and insert it into hinge
if filament is too loose, you can increase both ends sizes for example with putting something hot on to it, so it melts partially and creates larger heads
or glue one end to the hinge
insert lenses
it should be little tight to insert (so glasses holds them nicely)
some patterns will fit more easily, others may be very tight (like honeycomb)
but the glasses body should be PETG, so little bit flexible
