This case is designed to hold a Pi-4 and a standard 2.5” SATA SSD. Sometimes it’s useful to be able to boot your Pi from a SSD rather than an SD card. I’ve previously created a headless version that allows for the PoE+ Hat.
The Pi and SSD just sit in the base and are held firm by the lid. It might take a bit of jiggling to get the Pi in because of how far the 1/8” audio socket protrudes, but it does go in.
If you have some clear 1.75mm filament, you can add a couple of light pipes to extend the LED’s to the outside of the case.
I’ve included the option to add a 40mm fan if the Pi runs too hot. Once again, it just clips in. It’s a new clip design for me. I hope it lasts.
Then the lid just clips on top. No screws required.
A SATA to USB3 cable connects the SSD to the Pi. The one I’m using here is from Startech, but there are plenty of others.
