I got tired of having my meat thermometer sitting on the counter or buried in a drawer, so I made a magnetic holder to store it on the side of my refrigerator.
It's designed specifically for the thermometer in the photos, so the odds of it working for other types/shapes is low. I'm publishing it more to give people ideas on how to make their own version.
It uses four 8x3 magnets, which you can find on Amazon (I like to keep a bunch around for random projects). The magnets are stacked 2x2 and pushed into the cavity from the bottom. They hold onto the fridge securely, and also exert a bit of force on the thermometer's probe (but not so much that you can't get it out).
