Reflex Hammer

The reflex hammer is a medical instrument used to test the deep tendon reflexes, which help indicate the health of your overall nervous system.

This hammer can be printed without supports and the weight of the hammer head can be adjusted by changing the infill percentage. Glue is required to assemble the hammer.

Print instructions

All parts can print without supports. Print the shaft at 100% infill. You can print the other parts at whatever infill you wish. Changing the %infill on the head will change its weight.

After printing glue the two pieces of the head together. Then apply a small amount of glue to the inner faces of the ring on the shaft, then press the full head into the ring tightly. The ring should cover the seam between the two pieces of the head. Finally apply a small amount of glue to the end of the shaft that inserts into the handle before sliding the two pieces together.
