Nr.3 Scalpel Case with Spare Blade Storage

Here is yet another storage case for a Scalpel knife, but this one incorporates a compartment for storing up to three spare blades and has a sliding door mechanism. The case is make specifically for my Gima branded Scalpel handle Nr.3 using a standard Nr.11 surgical blade. But I suspect that many other brands will fit as well, or else the overall size can be changed while slicing. The Rhino 6 source file (.3dm) is also included for you to customize the part further.

Manufacturing Advice

The parts are made to be printed without the need for support material or post processing. Preferably, use a semi-flexible plastic like PET-G or ABS if possible, and a nozzle size not larger than 0.6mm.

The hinge consists of a M3 nut and bolt (10mm thread length). Use loctite/super glue on the nut at final assembly and torque the bolt enough to remove slack but not so much as to bind up the sliding mechanism.
