This is my try to recreate the shield in OpenSCAD, because with this Program anything is parametric.
So this model can be changed very easy.

In particular I designed this, because I liked the sturdy of the prusa shield, but in the same time the need of a lasercutter is heavy.

In colaboration with some other open workshops and maker spaces in Germany we came to the conclusion, the DIN888 distances for German hole punchers would be the best (at least for Germany).

Finally I had the idea to make everything parametric, so any hole distance can be created, with the maximum of 8 holes total (until now).

Attached are 2 STLs that were not testet on a printer yet.

  • DIN888 - here the distances of the 4 pins is 3x80mm
  • PrusaDitance - here the distance are as in the original 79mm; 60mm; 79mm

Right now, I'm at V0.4. And I know, the code that is attached, is not written very nicely, but this is my first project with OpenSCAD.

Feel free to download the SCAD file and make it better, as long as you share your better file with me ;)

UPDATE V0.5 is released and adds better texts on sides
