Ring for Hadley's main mirror, so you can quickly find a 20cm centered circle for collimation. 

Intended to be used with the Primary Mirror (114mm) Installation Support by fortinmike
as well as the Cheshire Collimation Eyepiece by fortinmike 

Instructions:

With the telescope fully assembled…

  1. Place the mirror installation support ring so it is properly seated around the sides of the primary mirror. 
  2. Place the Collimation Ring inside the mirror installation support ring. it's snug, so make sure it is all the way down. (gently, don't scratch your mirror)
  3. Install the Cheshire Collimation Eyepiece into focuser.
  4. Shine a light into the side of the eyepiece while looking into the pinhole and you should see it in the primary mirror.
  5. Adjust the Collimation screws at the back of the telescope until the center dot of the eye piece is in the middle of the center circle of the Collimation Ring.
