I designed this desk organiser to make it easier for me to quickly grab the specific Raspberry Pi board I need without rummaging endlessly through my drawer of parts, as my work requires access to different models and accessories quickly for testing and other such fun.

The organiser holds (starting at the back):

  • Up to six Model B boards (B+, 2B, 3B, 3B+, 4B….and room for the 5B as and when it happens!). You can also store an Arduino Uno style board in these slots, or a 3A+, HATs etc.
  • Up to three Pi Zero boards (v1.3, Zero W, Zero 2)
  • Up to three Raspberry Pi Pico boards (Pico, Pico W…and room for the next one)
  • A lot of SD cards (bottom left section)
  • Up to four camera module ribbon cables
  • ‘Other stuff’ - the right lower section is a free for all. I use it for mini breadboards.

I printed this with a 0.8 nozzle with quite high layer heights. Not a lot of infill is needed, and of course no supports. Larger nozzles make for a quick print but stringing was an issue for me as they just don't hold back pressure as well. The print in the image was made with 3DQF Stone Effect 1.75mm PLA.

I know there's a shortage of Raspberry Pi boards right now…but many of us already have excessive collections built up over the years :)
