Toilet Paper Roll Construction Set!
Has the virus got you isolated from your friends? Are you bored and lonely? No problem; fire up your trusty Prusa printer, break open your hoard of toilet paper and make your own virus resistant companions!
Screws: print these on their side for greater strength. Print at 0.2 mm, use 4 vertical shell perimeters, 70% infill.
All the rest are 0.3mm, 2 perimeters and 20% fill. These are not super strong but I tried to minimize material. Stand the solid, flex and 90 degree joints vertically to print, the rest lay flat, smooth side down .
Plan out what you want to build and print the required parts. To assemble, simply insert the round open end of the joint into both ends of a roll of toilet paper. Assemble two rolls together with a screw through the joint pieces. Use the 3 & 4 way joints to join multiple rolls. The 90 degree link gives another axis of rotation where needed and the extender allows wider joints. Be gentle with the screws , I greased them and worked them back and forth into the joints gently to avoid cracking the part.
Be creative!
