some of the parts from this project i printed. turned out nice

3D printed upright rails. Added extra screw on top side bracket for better rigidity. The bottom cage holding the Dell sagged a bit so I printed some feet to take the load. I had 10-32 screws on hand so I printed 10-32 nuts that seem to work great. I originally planned to do 10u but wasn't ready to fill that much. I may do another one as a SAN.

hello i have some questions
about the pi board,
how is the pi mounted no visible holes or screws.
for which type is it 2,3,4
and do you also have the front plate for the pi to finish as photo left hole
thanks

@letmethink_250933 totally missed what you said, they are both cases that look like prints, the one on the right is a small metal heatsink case (ports exposed pi 3) and the left is a full body heatsink (pi 4) case both from amazon, they dont connect to the shelf at all they just sit flat there's a bump in the back that basically holds them in, I attached a picture, FYI i have this all reprinted in white PLA as a long term test and it's been well over a year and no sagging or anything from the PLA (edited)

@Chris_337748 did not receive an email from a new response hence so late.
and it does not matter I now know how it is.
thanks for the responses I will print soon, I have printed everything from the server cabinet in abs that certainly does not deform😁

Thx my guy! Netgear switch panel came out perfect! 👌

Thanks so much for the design, I used your shelf designs for the Lenovos and my switch! By the way, the switch shelf also fits the TP link, TL-SG108E perfectly!

Still need to clean it up a bit, but these have been perfect so far. Thanks!

@MayMarquez_456888 thanks for the pic, if you want a small faceplate with some holes for that 3/4 empty spot shoot me a message and I’ll mod a piece for that

Finally getting around to uploading the picture. Printed in ESUN PLA+ by my coworker on his Ankermake M5. This is absolutely perfect. Thank you for the amazing design!

what is the top patchpanel ? is it printable or just piece of equipment?

@pajhiwo_825335 it’s just a 10in patch panel I ordered from amazon, came with all the keystones and I swapped a few for hdmi for easy access if I ever need

Doesn't look too clean but it was much worse before. Great design thank you.

I went with 12U rails and did some custom feet for clearance to give another couple of RU at the bottom.

The rails side parts needed some m4 fasteners.

Really appreciate the inspiration to clean up the cable mess :D

This looks fantastic! I'm going to try and print it myself. Would you mind sharing the print settings you used? Not sure what to do for the infill.

Have you had any issues with the heat from the PCs and the PLA? I'm thinking about making it out of PETG. (edited)

@Chris_337748 What size screws are used for the Lenovo split shelf? Are they #8 like the side screws? I have one shelf and one side piece printed so far in PLA+. I'm trying to get the hardware squared away while the rest prints.

@ColevonWerde_1676737 i believe they are actually #6 for the computer mounts, i had an assorted set of machine screws that i was working with, a #8 could probably work just by threading it in slowly and using a bit of oil to help it tap the plastic (edited)
