Introducing the second free design from Parallel Goods!

Our Push-Pin Clip allows you to hang things on the wall without damaging your flat stock or other art. The Push-Pin Clip is also great for hanging reminders and notes to yourself for when you're coming and going, or for creating quick collages.

The Push-Pin Clip prints fast, and the two-part design allows you to easily customize the colors to match your decor or whatever artwork you're hanging. Be sure to check out the Print Settings & Post-Printing Instructions to make sure you get the most out of the Push-Pin Clip.

The Push-Pin Clip is part of our newly released Entryway Collection, now available along with other great designs at parallelgoods.co

Print Settings

  • Rafts:  No
  • Supports:  No
  • Notes:  The Push-Pin Clip consists of two parts and is designed to be printed in PLA. We went through lots of experimentation and many iterations to develop Slic3r settings which balance the speed of the print with robustness. Every 3D printer is different, but these settings should give you a fine starting point for use on your own printer.

Slic3r Settings PLA

  • Layer Height: .2mm
  • Vertical Shells (Perimeters): 3
  • Horizontal Shells (Solid Layers): Top – 3, Bottom – 3
  • Infill: 100%
  • Prints WITHOUT Supports

The Push-Pin clip was designed to be printed as it is oriented in the file. You will need both parts to make one push-pin clip.

Post-Printing

Additional hardware

As the name implies, to mount the push-pin clips, you’re going to need push-pins. While any standard push-pin will work, we recommend #4 Moore Aluminum Push-Pins, which have a 1/2” aluminum head and a 1/2” point.

Take the two printed parts and slide the straight slide of the clip into the slot of the saddle.

You should feel the clip click into the saddle.

Insert a push-pin through the pin hole of the saddle and press into the wall.

Gently depress the clip tab and insert to hold art work in place!

Enjoy!

The push-pin clip is great for photographs, flat stock posters, and art prints. Try mixing and matching filament colors for a nice effect.
