Villainous Board Game Pieces

My family and I have enjoyed playing this particular board game quite a few times.  Everything that is contained within the game is high quality except for those toilet paper style cardboard coins and tokens.  I used the original pieces and designed a 3D version of the lock and the fate tokens used in the game.

For those of you who showed up because of the MTG tag, these coins are 3D versions of the mana symbols found on the cards.  I have used them as makers and tokens within the MTG game.  These coins also work as great replacements for the junk tokens they provide in this game.  These are a little tricky to print because of them being dual sided.  I'd recommend using some kind of support.  I reduced the depth of details on the back side which should be the part that faces the print bed.  This helps reduce the severity of the supports.  If you're not interested in having dual sided coins, simply adjust the model so that the first few layers are below the bed line in the slicer.

Print Setup

  • Material:  PLA
  • Quality:  .12mm.
  • Temp:  200°C (higher if using silk PLA)
  • Bed:   67°C
  • Print Speed:  50mm/s, first layer at 20mm/s
  • Walls: 5
  • Infill:  50% (less would also work just as well since the wall count is high)
  • Supports:  None or tree (impacts print bed side quality)

For those of you haven't played this game and are looking for another game night option it can be found at various vendors online and in brick and mortar stores.  Here's a link to one on Amazon to get you started.  Purchase location is your choice as I have seen this game in Target as well as online.
