Onyx BOOX Note 2 Stylus Holder

I love my Onyx BOOX Note 2, but its case has a stylus holder which does not hold the stylus firmly, so it can fall off easily. Onyx offers a tether:

but having this bulky thing hanging is not nice.

I designed this stylus holder so that it:

• Snaps itself into the case so it can not fall off.
• Its internal shape is elliptical:
  • There's enough friction to hold the stylus inside firmly.
  • It is still easy to remove and insert the stylus.

To insert the holder, you have to fold it into itself as the picture shows. Once inserted, it won't fall off.

Print instructions

I printed mine with Hatchbox TPU (95A), I recommend using a similar filament. Do not use Ninja Flex for this, as it is likely gonna easily fall of the case or let the stylus loose.

I had to enable 20% fan for all layers, as without it, it was not cooling fast enough.

I also configured the seam to be all on the back of the printed part, so all seams face the case when inserted.

I also used variable layer height, and set to 50um just below the middle bezel, so it can take care of the overhang.
