The Great Wave off Kanagawa bears down on a hapless 3DBenchy. Will our plucky test object ride the wave or be smashed to smithereens (*layer adhesion may be a factor)?
This 3DBenchy display stand is designed to be printed in two colors: blue and translucent white. Natural PLA works very well for the latter. Different thicknesses of the translucent filament creates a variety of shades of blue.
I designed this to print on an IDEX printer. A color switching printer or tool changer would work too. I suppose it's feasible to print it on a conventional printer using filament swaps, but no attempt was made to minimize the changes, and a lot of swapping would be needed.
