Got a message that I did not mention that this case is big…… so yeah ,its a big case.
If your printers build plate is smaller then the files you need to print, it wont work for you.
Pro tip: try to open the main file in your slicer to check if it fits. Dont order parts upfront if your unsure the files can be printed with your printer.
And with that out of the way lets get back to the project.

Angled micro USB cable ( 30cm)
Angled HDMI adapter:
10 pieces of 3 mm metal rod, each one 30mm long for the clips.
1x 260mm long 3mm rod for the hinge
( I used a trick getting the long rod in by using a drill and pushing it in while spinnning it.
give it quite some speed with the drill and slowly force it in,that way you produce some friction heat and the hinges wont break on you as it could happen if you hammer it in) After the long rod is in gently start to open and close the lid, dont force it to hard in the beginning. I will go a bit rough but get a lot smoother after a few times.
You will also need some sponge foam to create a protective sheet between the deck and the display, check pictures so you get the idea.
I also added 6x3mm magnets on the display corners attracting the 8x1mm magnets on the sponge foam cover.
The Displays front !sponge foam cover! holds the deck in place when the case is closed and prevents the steam deck from “falling around” inside. Test fit it with enough layers of foam to make sure of it! You dont want the Deck to move around and damage the display with the Thumbsticks!!
Attach the clips before you glue the TPU bumpers to the edges of the case, otherwise you will have a hard time to get some of the bolts in ;)
If the holes in the clips are to tight to get the metal bolts in use a 3mm drill.
All the tpu dustcovers need a little hole and a screw to be fixed in place. There are no holes pre printed so you can decide yourself where to place them.
The display needs to be disassembled and parts like the display, and controller board + buttons needs to be salvaged, save up all the cloth tape and foam, you will need it when you attach the display to the printed frame.
