Hi, I'm P1lotz, a professional 3D artist from Scandinavia, and I have been working in this field since 2019. I enjoy creating things in Blender. This time, I made an articulated rocky dragon. The model took a really long time to complete because I made many mistakes along the way. However, in the end, it turned out well, and I hope you like it! :)

The body moves freely around
The legs move up and down
The tail moves freely around
The head moves freely around
The Dragon can be printed in one piece
No support needs

The whole dragon is printed in one piece, so no need for glue and that kind of stuff. It also doesn't need support at all. You can see how it is printed below:

Common Questions

Q: Can you sell the model?

A: No, you cannot sell the model. However, you are able to if you get a commercial licence via my Printables memberships.

Q: Does the model need support?

A: No, the model does not need any support.

Q: Should the model be printed with adhesion?

A: No!!! Do NOT use adhesion under any circumstances. It is a nightmare to remove.
A: However, if you have trouble printing it, I recommend you to use rafts.

Q: How to make a dragon? How to make stuff articulate?

A: It really depends on what you are making. My tip is to download and analyse some articulated models, by looking at their preview in the slicer. You can also watch my tutorial, to learn more about it. Click here to watch the tutorial.

Q: Does the model need any assembling?

A: No, it does not. The model is a print in place.

Q: Do you have to use flexible filament for this?

A: No. The model works like a chain. I recommend colourful PLA.

Q: Can the model be resized?

A: Yes and no. It really depends on how small. I don't recommend anything smaller than 75% scale. A good tip is to always check the outcome in the slicer before printing.
