Matroesjka Chess

Matroesjka Chess, a chess set where the pieces stack and slide inside each other covered by the king. The king's height is 108 mm and a complete set slided together measures 36 x 72 x 110 mm.

The pieces are designed with a close eye on the traditional chess pieces looking for a compact set with minimal material use, mind you wall thickness is just 0,75 mm.

Attention. There is a small indent in the base of the king which should face the centre of the lid when sliding the base over the lower ring.

Print the set without support excluding the knights. The knights should be printed with support. Take care to include 4 2250 pawns and 4 2475 pawns (they slide over each other). And don't forget the lid to put the sets together for tranport and storage..

Total printing time on a Prusa MK3S set to 0,2 mm layer height is around 10 hours per colour so around 20 hours for a complete set.
