Silencer for Lightsaber SABNEO V7

Why?

The lightsaber SABNEO V7 has two sound levels: low and high. Both of them were still a bit loud for indoor use, so I modeled a silencer that can be placed inside the lightsabers end cap to dampen the sound.

Available Versions

There are two versions.

Sabneo_v7_Silencer_1_Hole: Leaves only one hole in the end cap open if inserted. Dampens the sound a lot.

Sabneo_v7_Silencer_5_Holes: Leaves five of the holes in the end cap open. Dampens a little less sound compared to the version with one hole.

Print Setting

Print with the flat side on the print bed. 

Print settings shouldn't matter too much with this print.

Mine where printed in Prusament PLA Galaxy Black with a layer height of 0.15 in the default PrusaSlicer profile for Prusament PLA. 

Assembly

Please note that the silencer is not a perfect fit by design. The silencers diameter is slightly smaller than the end cap. This should make it easier to be printed without having a perfectly dialed in printer.

I would suggest to wrap some electrical tape or some scotch tape around the outside until it fits perfectly. This prevents the silencer from rattling around inside the lightsaber hilt. 

In my photos you can see the outer layer of electrical tape (which also has the benefit of being slightly rubberized). I had to apply roughly two layers of tape.

Please see one of my pictures on how to insert it into the end cap. There is a slight notch on the inside of the silencer to help pull it out.
