Respirator Mask for DIY filter

This mask, like many others, is designed as a fall-back to proper medical equipment in case of shortage.

Features:

• Prints in less than 4 hours
• No supports needed
• Thin enough walls so that it can be cut with scissors and adjusted to fit with a hair dryer.
• Simply attach layers of filtration media (paper towels, cloth, etc...) with a rubber band
• Optional filter cap

I make no guarantees that this mask will protect you from anything, even though that is my design intent. My main goal here is to share my design idea so it can at least be remixed or inspire someone with a better design down the road. Do your research about filtering media, and on how to clean a reusable mask.

Print instructions

I recommend PETG for this. PETG can be washed with hot water, soap, and bleach.

You will need to add self adhesive foam tape for the mask to seal and fit comfortably on your face.
You may need to adjust its shape with a hair dryer or very hot water and cut off some edges with scissors to make it fit better on your face.
