You have a lot of coloured filament variants and you wanted to know how it looked like, especially after it has been printed yet you don't want to print something bulky such as benchmark items. You also have few empty Prusament spools lying around.
This model is perfect for the mentioned problem above. You can print these swatches one or two of each of the same colour either both laid flat or standing up or either one of those.
Need a place to store the printed swatches? Fret not, print the “xx slots.stl” as well and put them into the empty Prusament spools you have lying around.
The idea of this is similar to Pantone's colour swatches
Features
- Swatches has thin wall on both sides for short overhang tests.
- Swatches has 3mm~0.20mm for quick tolerance test on 3mm screws.
- Swatches can be put on a keyring on the triangular hole if you don't have any empty spool
- 9/18/36/72 slots per Prusament spools
- Carry your swatches along with the Prusament spools
- Pair between 9/18/36/72 slots models in single empty Prusament spools
- “Spacers” to customize your spool swatches by grouping them together
- “Spacers” also can be used as a swatch itself
- Print swatch and slot same colour so you know which colour goes missing from your collection in the future
NOTE
The “slots” models all has 0.05mm tolerance added on all sides where they are going to be fit together. It is a total of 0.10mm tolerance. This is to ensure that the “slots” parts will not come undone by itself. Basically a friction fit. If you don't know your printer's tolerance capabilities, I suggest print one of my Tolerance Coin to get the feel what sort of tolerance you can get out of your machine.
