We've been playing Settlers of Catan with Seafarers for years. While I was first starting to learn 3D modeling in Blender during the pandemic the piece shapes made good practice. When I got my first 3D printer I decided to design a plate to hold the pieces.
The base plate is a simple layout, it worked great for us for a long time before designing the case.
The case has a friction catch in the back (a bump) that will hold the base in place when it's fully inserted. I've included a few designs for the face, including blank so you can add your own touch.
The cover piece slides on to the base plate, it has a ceiling that varies in height to keep the pieces snug in place. It also has a locking “bump” in the back of the rail so that the board clicks into place and won't accidentally come out.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
