Feel free to download the various parts for this build for your own small table saw.
The table saw was built using:
It was a bit tricky to get the maximum cutting height out of this setup.
The blade only measures 8cm and the top is 18mm thick.
I thried to "thin out" the bearing blocks as much as possible and also
routed out some parts of the top lid where the axle/bearing blocks would hit
I managed to get 15mm maximum cutting heigth, pretty good :-)
The fence is a joy to operate, the handle clamps when pushed down, loosens when
pulled up again.
To get is exactly square with the blade, i drilled one of the mounting holes of the
sliding bar (on which the cm are displayed) slighty bigger. This little movement should
be enough to square it out. You can also use a little piece of paper in the fence block
behind the fence itself.
The M8 axle of the blade height adjustment is moved to the bottom of the enclosure,
which was mandatory. The crank cannot spin unless to put the saw on the edge of a
table.
NOTE:
Although i'm albe to cut wood just fine with the 80W motor, it is still a bit weak
and need to slow down often when feeding stock material.
Choose a stronger motor if you can
