I needed to extend the legs on my Misumi 3030 extrusions to allow space for my z-steppers in my Hypercube Evolution build. I also wanted to try dampening the plastic-to-table interface, so I created the simple foot addition to print from flexible material (Ninjatek Cheetah for rev1).
There are M3 threads in the foot extension for 8mm M3 bolts, which worked surprisingly well, even at .2mm layers. I used an M3 bolt (10mm I think) to attach the foot to the extension and just went straight into the PLA and pulled it tight so that the bolt head was recessed far enough into the flexible foot.
Edit 9/10/2017: The holes for M3 bolts to secure the extension to the framemostly work, but I plan on re-working them to either use a knurled brass insert, or increasing the size to an M4 with modeled-in threads. The larger threads should have a much higher chance of working well even after inserting and removing the bolt once or twice...
Edit 9/10/2017: Reduced hole size to 3.05 to increase modeled thread surface area. Increase counterbore to accept a brass knurled insert in case the modeled and printed threads still don't work more than once or twice.
Fixed size of nut trap and increased recesses on parts to reduce need for infill - perimeters should provide most of the strength.

Infill of extension dependent on weight it needs to support.
Infill of dampener dependent on flexible material used and desired "squish"
