I made a fully-parametrized sizing tool for delta-style printers. This takes frame dimensions (length and width of extrusions), and other basic geometric inputs (effector, rods, offsets for mounting motors, etc) and creates a 3d model of the frame, motion system and resultant work volume. Joints are pre-made to simulate the basic kinematics so you can grab the effector and drag it around the work volume.
Fusion 360 for modeling, parameters and kinematics. Pencil and paper for the math required to size all the parts and limits.
