The problem with fixed partitions in small parts boxes is that if the partition is large enough to get your fingers in you end up wasting space storing very small parts. Removable bins solve that problem and let you mix similar but different parts (e.g. m2 washers, nuts and short machine screws in the same bin. You can remove the pin spread the parts out, choose what you want and then sweep them back into their bin.
The sliding top on this box secures the bins in the box and ensures that everything stays in it's own bin even if the box is dropped or turned upside down.
Everything here prints without supports. The stl files for the bins assume 2 rows of 4 bins, but you can change that in the OpenSCAD customizer without needing to learn how to code OpenSCAD. It's easy, and an eye-opening experience for first-time users.

Consider color-coding bins to quickly identify similar items. I like the old resistor color codes red, orange, yellow, green, blue for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Great for m2, m3, m4, etc hardware.
You can also change the overall size of the box in the Customizer. The size here was chosen to enable printing a box and lid together on a Prusa Mini.
