Ivar Skadis adapter mount (without screws)

New workspace

Moving in to a new place allowed the creation of a new workshop. Ikea Skadis pegboards are great and I had a few in my old space but didn't want to screw them to the walls in the new space. 

This design allows using Skadis within the wide space of the Ikea Ivar shelf units, without screwing to the Ivar frame by using existing Ivar pegs and holes.

I used PLA, printed at .15, 25% infill. 

Design

There are six adapter designs for different mounting options, and one clip design. I later found the clip design optional.

Depending on how you want to configure your unit, use one adapter for each corner. If you want to mount multiple Skadis across multiple Ivar, then use the appropriate DOUBLE designs.  The design names assume you will be mounting the Skadis on the rear/back plane of your IVAR, so ‘Ivar mount wide UL’ is the adapter for the Upper Left corner of the Skadis.

The (optional) clip was designed in earlier iterations and provides additional reinforcement to the back of the adapter. It slides in the groove on the inside of the adapter. For added strength, after assembled and mounted, apply a drop of super-glue in the side slots where the clip is visible through the adapter.

Installation

Simply align the proper adapter to the Ivar, insert the steel Ivar pegs, and slide the Skadis into the adapters.

I've not noticed the need to secure the Skadis to the adapters as the Skadis units are fully supported in four corners by the adapters. For further security, you could use the standard Skadis mounting offset bolts on each corner (or 3d print your own option!).
