Created for a friend who is rebuilding an old car and wanted to know if I could make this little plastic part. Apparently, the original part number is Delco-Remy 1852935
It fits inside an ignition distributor on many old GM cars common through the 1960's and early 1970s. It holds an oil soaked felt wick in close proximity to the distributor cam and fits into the small rectangular hole, pictured. The rare and fragile original I modeled this from is on the right, the black ASA printed replica is on the left.
As the distributor gets hot during operation, you probably want to print it in ABS, ASA, PolyCarbonate (PC) or Nylon. It is oriented for easiest printing with supports.
