Use case

This cap should fit to most of the common soda bottles. It is tested on Gerolsteiner water bottles and on Schweppes soda bottles. Together with an old bottle and some kind of attractant (e.g. old grapes, sugar water, vinegar, etc.) this print forms a nice and simple wasp trap. Put it on the eating table in your garden and harassing wasps will be no problem any more.

Printing

This part is very simple and quick to print. Simply print it in the uploaded orientation, no supports or brim is necessary. I have tested the part made from PETG on a Prusa i3 Mk3S, but I am sure it will work just as well when made from PLA. There is a bit of play in the thread, so tolerances should not be much of a problem either.

While the color of a print is typically not critical for this functionality, in this case it is. I recommend yellow, as it will attract wasps more than black for examples. If you know of a color that works even better, feel free to comment.

Please like it if you like it!

I'd appreciate a thumbs up if you like this design. A photo of your make would be even nicer.

Happy printing!
