AlphaSpool - Solid 3D Printed Filament Spool

I'm not a huge fan of "screw-free" spools, so i made one with 3x M4 on each side.

I'll be uploading real pictures soon too, but the spool is currently in use :)

The spool is secured from both sides with 3x M4 screws. There are holes on the edges for the filament to pass through so that the filament cannot unwind when stored somewhere. In the middle part there are also extra holes to secure the beginning of the filament…

There are also cutouts on the sides to cut through the cable-ties when you put in new filament…

I designed different adapters for the middle in case someone wants to place the spool on a stick, tube or similar… If the size you need is not there then just write a comment and I'll try to upload it as soon as possible.

I mainly use it with Fiberlogy refill filament, but any refill filament should work fine. I designed it a bit tighter so the filament doesn't unwind itself.

Needed Parts:
- 6x M4 20mm - Socket Head Screws

Print Settings:
- i printed mine with 0.2 height and 0.4 width / 4 Parimeters and 5,5% Gyroid Infill, but i should work with another settings.
- Supports? Not needed.
- This was printed on a Custom CoreXY Printer, so the gaps and clearances that I designed in the model might not be optimal for your printer!

Print Time (on my printer) & Weight:
- Adapter_XXmm: 12m-13m / 6,02g-7,29g
- Middle: 2h28m / 79,09g
- SideR: 2h27m / 57,24g
- SideL: 2h26m / 57,21g
