Fruit picker

The 3D printed fruit picker hand is designed to be put on a long stick. The hand can be opened and closed using a string.

Necessary parts:

• Long stick with 18 mm diameter where it's connected to the picker hand
• M4 x 20 mm screw & nut
• Optionally an M4 washer to put between the 3D printed parts

The figs on the tree in my garden just started being ripe but some of them are difficult to reach because they're far up. At first I tried a simpler picker that was basically just some sort of basket on a long stick like this one. Often it's hard to get the fruit to fall in the basket without damaging it so I decided to design a model that could grab the fruit.

Use brims when printing this model. I marked the part which might get loose without a brim with a red arrow (see picture of my slicing settings).
