I designed these carpet spikes for use on my subwoofer because I didn't really want to buy any and I have a 3D printer.
I was largely curious if carpet spikes made any sound difference and while I'm not an audiophile I think I can answer with a very definite… maybe? I believe it's possible that the Bass may be a little more crisp and less boomy now, but I made no attempt to do any serious A/B testing.
Given the nature of FDM printing, designing the spike to come to a sharp point like the commercially available designs wasn't possible. However, the contact patch with the ground isn't that large and is probably fine. If anything, it makes my subwoofer look a lot more finished and if that's the only benefit these provide, then I can be happy with that.
