The main goal was to minimize the requirement of off-the-shelf components, to make majority of the assembly 3d printable.

The following components are included:

  1. the mount
    1. to headrest
    2. pole-to-pole (for 90 degree bends, allowing height and depth control)
    3. to phone mount (that uses a spherical joint)
  2. the lever
    1. straight (easier to print)
    2. 90deg (primarily for headrest since you may not have room for the straight lever)
  3. the intermediate lock (that tensions the mount)
    1. standard
    2. shorter (in case the standard is too tight)

You'll need to buy a 3/8in pipe (around 9mm dia) to connect it all together.

To print the mounts, a good idea is to maximise the number of perimeters. Print without supports. Break off the tabs on the intermediate lock and 90deg lever after printing.

Here's the result of the camera mount during one of our AutoX runs.
