Ok I have managed to get the Falcon created by Jace to print, I am not sure why - but for some reason (possibly the file size of 103MB) it is not showing in the preview images. However it should be in the file list.

I will update this with the full information in due course, as I dont have time right now.

This print is by no means perfect but I have included some new parts that should overcome the issues you will encounter printing this model at this scale - see 'Comments'.

I will update the text soon.

As you can see from the other photos, you can now print this!

Thank you Jace1969 for making this possible.

I printed this using a Prusa i3 Mk3. If your printer is not great at printing at this scale, you can probably get a good result by slicing the model in half and printing each half at a larger scale, print each half diagonally across your plate and glue together.

Print the model vertically with supports for best results if you choose the small version. If you go large and slice the model in half, you may not need supports.

You will probably lose some detail when removing the supports if you use them, as I did. But its not a major issue.

TIP: For Sci-Fi models, I always use a very light grey filament. If you use white, you will have to spend hours giving your models 'washes' to make them look even vaguely realistic and dirty.

All colours are done using some of my kids felt tip pens. For the 'weathering' I splashed out on a tiny pot of Dark Grey acrylic model paint - diluted it to almost nothing and did one super diluted 'wash' and a slightly stronger grey for the oily/dirty patches.
