This is a custom written G-code file for printing miniature railings for the Revell 100th anniversary Titanic set (scale 1:400). I did not like the original as it was not too realistic. You can read the code yourself in notepad or any text editor there is nothing harmful in them.
Slicing the STL will most likely not work. Slicers (Cura or Slic3r PE) do not do single line extrusion that is required for this to work.
Update 27/04/2023
I added a new improved version that does not require manual work and separate files. Just make sure your printer has 20x20cm bed, 0.4mm nozzle and 1.75mm filament.
Printer:
generic 200x200mm bed (any Prusa, Ender 3…)
Nozzle:
0.4mm
Filament:
generic PLA
1.75mm
white
Notes:
For 0.4mm nozzle
How I Designed This
It was a long trial and error process but the finished model looks amazing. The slicer did not behave well with single line prints so I had to write my own code (very simple). It has slow speed and single line extrusion so that the railings are not destroyed by the printer on the second pass. You can see the failed 3 tests and the final piece in the pictures
