When fitting and aligning the doors on my Classic Mini by myself, I was struggling to maintain keep the door position when making minor adjustment to the alignment. I designed this two-piece clamp to hold the window frame. The upper piece hooks over the roof gutter and the lower piece clips under the door/window frame. Once fitted, it holds the door in place and allows you to make minor door adjustments up/down with the F-clamp.
The lower piece has the gap wide enough to fit over the door frame of both sliding window (has a thicker frame) and later model wind-up windows, however it is better to use this tool without any door seal or trim attached. A Spacer file has also been added to the model for use with the later (thinner) models door frames - see photo for example.
Note that even though the pictures show a Mini with the lower drop rail removed, the design has been modified to fit Minis with the drip rail retained. It was tested on a couple of Australian Minis (Mk 2 & Mk4) all with external hinges, one sliding window, one wind-up window) so if they fit internal hinged Minis, please msg me and let me know.
EDIT : Upper piece V2 has been added which is slightly thicker vertical section as I found the upper piece deforms if clamped too tight. Printing with a higher % infill will likely help, or if your slicer has the ability, add a block to that area and make that a high % infill.
