Mount it anywhere and pop out batteries as needed.  The gravity feed chamber and dispenser lever make this a great AA battery storage solution.

* See v2 of this model for improved lever performance and updated frame.

Utilizes a small rubber band to keep tension on the lever.  When installing or using, be aware that the rubber band or any other item in the chamber may launch outward.  Like anything else, use common sense and safety.

  • Print with a variable layer height like I did or only use a consistent low layer height for a better finish.
    • My bottom and top sections were printed slow & low, but the middle bulk section was fast & high.
    • I added a brim around my lever so it would stick to the build plate better, but you may not need to.
  • A rubber band will need connected through the front hole and attach over the hook just inside.
    • After hooked to the front, I used an unsharpened pencil to push the rubber band through the chamber and attach to the lever behind the rear chamber entrance.
  • The lever will slide in easily through the rear chamber hole, but you may need to scrape/clean-up any rough areas.
  • Load a single battery through the front chamber hole and the rest of the batteries through the top.
    • Use a screwdriver, pencil or other item to rotate batteries on their side if they land standing up or angled in the chamber.
  • Mount with any screw that is flat under the head to pull the top plastic flush to the wall.
    • truss/pan style is best; a bugle/curved one will damage the plastic, but should still do the job.
    • I mounted to wood, but use a wall anchor if necessary.
  • Press lever to slide battery out or tap lever quickly with more force to slide it out further.
