IKEA drawer support bracket repair - screw-type

What is it?

Printed part to connect the particleboard floor of a drawer to its chipboard backpanel. Tested with a repair and enhancement on my 2012 IKEA MALM chest's drawers.  Might work for others with the same design too.

Why use it?

Over time, the particle board floor starts to sag, and the material around the original single screw gives in, the connection fails, causing the floor to sag even more until the drawer cannot be fully closed anymore.

Does it work?

I've had my HD variant in place now since 2021, and it just works. *confirmed in January 2026

There is a choice of two shapes:

• replacement part, close to the original in dimensions; uses one screw

• heavy duty part for repair and enhancement; uses two screws

Screw size

• Designed 1:1 to fit the original IKEA screws or 3.5mm x 15mm
