It's simple to print. No supports required. The print time is around 2 hours for both parts with 0.2mm layer. No need to set it lower for any extra detail as there isn't any. There are no shapes where a thicker layer would be visible.

You do need 2 screws with nuts or 2 rivets to hold the clip securely. I like the look of the screws. It adds some rigidity to the wallet and the clip can be easily replaced. I had some from previous project so I used those. The screws are 10 mm long with 4 mm diameter. The nut has 7 mm and it fit nicely to the wallet body so it's hidden and no tool is needed to hold it in place during assembly. As I needed 2 wallets and had only 2 screws then I used aluminium rivets and it worked nicely as well.

For best print set the perimeter layers (vertical shells) to min 3 and shell thickness (vertical shell to 1 mm top and 1 mm bottom. This way there will be no hollow space inside. This can be configured maybe easier, but I'm a noob.

V1 issues:

  • The clip needs to be thicker to hold the content in place
  • Sharp edge is uncomfortable in the pocket
  • Not usable

V2:

  • The clip is twice as thick and more pre-bent
  • The clip goes around the corner for more stiffness.
  • The sharp edge is rounded
  • Is usable

V3:

  • The wallet has a hole in the bottom so you can slide the cards from the front and the back.
  • The wallet has thicker edges to be more durable
  • The corners are now hollow as I liked the look a bit better and hay, some filament is saved.
