You will very probably need to add something in between the plate and your camera.
With mine (D3300) I took the screw from the original quick release plate and with nothing in between the plate and the camera there was a gap. I fixed it by adding a few of those transparent adhesive silicone feet. Works wonders.

Printed in PLA and after a few uses in the tripod, the force seems a bit strong for the plastic and there are noticeable notches from the locking mechanism of the tripod head.
Nothing broke yet, but I feel like with enough time and stress on the part, it could.
Not a problem since you can print another one but yeah.

Also the plate itself isn't my design, I am just unable to find the original post anywhere (sorry..)
