Hello world,

when I started with 3D printing I was looking for a good temptower for me. I the model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2729076 I found one. But after printing I didn't know how to put them. So I developed the wish for a shelf to place it into my LACK enclosure. With a design in mind I went to my wife an she did the work in tinkercad. The result of that you can see in the pictures.

The key features are:

  • you can place the stand of the temptower in the bottom
  • with knobs and holes on every side of the bottom, you can easily connect them
  • the bottom is designed to be printed without supports
  • with the normal rod you can place a temptower with up to 5 segments
  • with the long rod you can place a temptower with up to 7 (maybe 8) segments.

Here are some printing advices:

  • the bottom already has the correct orientation for printing; no supports needed
  • the rod fits best into the holes of the bottom when they are printed upright; are brim is necessary
  • even the long rod can be printed upright; a brim is necessary
  • for all models 10% - 15% infill and a 0,4mm nozzle are recommended; the rod even work with no infill
  • to be more efficient print more than one model at a time.

I hope you enjoy the shelf!
