Moving your LCD to the left side of the machine is a bad idea for many reasons. One reason is that the SD card is now obstructed by the the left Z axis motor.

This remix of WonkyJon's work extends the LCD away from the Z axis motor to provide better access to the SD cad. The LCD goes about as far as the print bed travels, so the footprint of the printer is basically the same.
