This model is designed for fun. Therefore, confortable is not taken into consideration during design. This model is recommended to print in face down such that it will have a better appearance. It is recommend to print it with 0.2mm layer height since the model is designed based on 0.2mm layer height.

=== Printing Instruction===

g-code preparation

  • Place the inlay.stl (face down) to slicer, set the coordinate to 0, 0, 0 and set the initial layer height of 0.2mm. Export the g-code.
  • Place the frame.stl (face down) to slicer, set the coordinate to 0, 0, 0 and set the initial layer height of 0.2mm. Export the g-code.
  • * Make sure 2 stl files are aligned.
  • ** Adjust the scale of z (both inlay.stl and frame.stl) in case different layer height is used. 
  • *** Make sure the height of inlay is always the same as layer height such that the nozzle will never touch the inlay when the sign is being printed.

printing the model

  • print the inlay first.
  • when it is done, please do not remove the printed inlay from the heat bed. 
  • keep the temperature of heat bed and nozzle.
  • change the color of filament.
  • print the frame directly on top of the inlay

assembly

  • dia. 1.75mm filament is used as the pin for the hinge.
  • use soldering iron to melt both end of the pin
