Zodiac BAracuda MX6 MX Gears and Cam

Repair parts for Zodiax MX6 MX8 gearboxes. These gearboxes typically last between12 and 24 months depending on use, chemicals in the pool etc. When they wear out it is usually the driving gears and cams that fail. You cannot buy the gears separately you have to replace the whole gearbox. You can extend the life of a gearbox a little bit by printing and installing the driving gears yourself. You have to print these slow, hot and with the best material you have, IDeally ABS/PETG/PLA+, the harder the better. Check the original bearings and other gears, if they failed better to replace the whole thing. Whwn assembling the CAM's check the orientation against the original part. The shaft is hexagonal so it wont slip. Use some glue to stick cam parts together permanently (although strictly should not be necessary, but I like to be sure anyway). These parts all need some support to print. Check the print direction for optimal strength. Depending on what material and quality you can print these may last a couple of months at a time.
