Introduction
I needed a bracket for the MasterLock Street Cuff lock. The requirements were that it unlocks relatively quickly and does not move while riding. In addition, the holder with and without lock should look quite discreet.
Materials needed
- 2x M3x8 screws (M3x10,12 should also work)
- 2x M3 heat inserts
Mounting
- Heat the two heat inserts with a soldering iron or pliers and a lighter and press them into the plastic. The smaller holes are the correct ones for this
- Heat the bracket on the opposite side slightly and bend around the handlebars.
- To protect the handlebars maybe some tape or rubber between bracket and metal
- Tighten the two M3 screws and fix the whole thing in the desired position
Tip: I use a wider rubber to prevent rattling of the lock.
