The knob turns with your finger in the rotating offset. It was printed with a 0.4 mm radius clearance so that it is “floating”. The finger interface is retained with a trapezoid cross-section. The highlight of the print is putting a pair of pliers on the finger cylinder to break it loose. It did break lose consistently. I added cylindrical supports to the design bottom, so it prints altogether. The potentiometer interface supports are located to allow the interface to flex a bit more than some designs. The convex finger top seems to work better than the concave design.
